Nisonger Center welcomes Dr. Ashley Byrd, MD
The Ohio State University Nisonger Center at Wexner Medical Center welcomes Ashley Byrd, MD, psychiatrist. Dr. Byrd is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in The Ohio State University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.
Dr. Byrd completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She received her M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and completed her General Psychiatry Residency training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where she worked with several child psychiatrists and neuropsychiatrists and furthered her interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Dr. Byrd is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Her clinical interests include treating psychiatric disorders in individuals with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and related neurodevelopmental disorders.
Dr. Byrd joined the Nisonger Center faculty and clinical services team on Monday, August 2nd.
