Larrilyn Grant, MD, MS

Larrilyn Grant, MD, MS, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She serves as Director of the Division of Research, Director of Community Psychiatry,  and Medical Director of the Telepsychiatry Project of Ohio for patients with Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Her clinical and scholarly work focuses on psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism spectrum disorder, complex behavioral presentations, aggression, polypharmacy, and catatonia. Dr. Grant’s work emphasizes statewide access to specialty psychiatric care through telehealth, coordination between developmental disability and mental health systems, practical caregiver-informed assessment, and education for clinicians, direct support professionals, county boards, and community teams. She has presented and published on IDD psychiatry, catatonia, deprescribing, medical education, psychotherapy, and technology-supported psychiatric care.
