Jen obtained her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania in 2002, and has been a board-certified specialist in pediatric physical therapy since 2008. As a clinician, she has practiced in public school districts, home health care, and early intervention. Her expertise includes mobility, functional training, and adaptive equipment. She has experience working with children of all ages with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities. She has been an instructor in The Ohio State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program since 2006, and served as a faculty mentor in the Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency program since 2008. She has held leadership positions on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy and the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board. At the Nisonger Early Learning Program, Jen is part of the transdiciplinary team serving children ages birth to three as well as the interdisciplinary team serving IEPs for the preschool classrooms of children ages 3-5 with mobility needs. Jen focuses on building the confidence of families, caregivers, and classroom staff to support their child’s development across everyday routines and activities.
