Biography:

Dr. Barnhardt is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Developmental and Behavioral
Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University. She currently serves as
the primary medical provider in the Interdisciplinary Developmental Clinic and the School Age
Autism Diagnostic Clinic at the Nisonger Center. She also currently serves as the medical director of
the interdisciplinary Williams syndrome clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and leads the
Supporting Primary Care Providers through Engagement and Embedded DBP (SPEED) program at
Nationwide Children’s. She is passionate about medical education and currently serves several roles
with the Ohio State University College of Medicine including the Director of Competency in
Interprofessional Competency and the Interprofessional Education Champion for the College of
Medicine. Her other interests include collaborations with pediatric primary care providers through the
Autism Primary Care ECHO series at Nationwide Children’s and also serves in several leadership roles
with the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
