Biography:

Gail M. Whitelaw, Ph.D., is the LEND faculty member in Audiology. She also is an audiologist and
clinical professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University and
serves as the Director of The Ohio State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. Her clinical
interests are in neurodiversity and hearing/listening, pediatric audiology, tinnitus assessment and
management, and functional hearing loss. She provides both direct clinical services for patients and
precepting for Doctor of Audiology (AuD) students. Dr. Whitelaw teaches coursework in pediatric
audiology, tinnitus, ethics, and professional issues. She is a past-president of the American Academy
of Audiology and the Ohio Academy of Audiology. She currently serves as the secretary-treasurer of
the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE) and is the Chair of the Honors and
Awards Committee of the American Academy of Audiology.
