Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Autism Treatment Network

White paper authored by Dr. Elizabeth Perkins regarding the challenges encountered by older caregivers of adults with intellectual disability when they are simultaneously caregiving for other aging family members.
Through a combination of subsidizing rents in privately-owned apartments and company-owned properties, Creative Housing provides housing to individuals with disabilities in over 450 locations in the Columbus metropolitan area. The agency has also renovated over 200 homes for accessibility in a seven county area in Central Ohio.

The National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET) coordinates national resources, offers technical assistance, and disseminates information related to secondary education and transition for youth with disabilities in order to create opportunities for youth to achieve successful futures.
The Ohio Online Schools Guide is an online database that is a compilation of every college program offered online in Ohio either full or part time. This database will be updated yearly and will always remain free and open. This is a great resource for students, parents, counselors and advisors who are interested in higher education opportunities.
The Pedal with Pete Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to the research and prevention of Cerebral Palsy. Pete Zeidner, who has cerebral palsy, is a cycling enthusiast who for several years now has raised money for cerebral palsy research by pedaling his custom-built, specially adapted bicycle. Through annual bike-a-thons and other undraising events, Pete’s foundation has to date raised tens of thousands of dollars. Click the above link to find out more.
