The EnvisionIT Program | Enhancing Transition Through Technology
EnvisionIT is a web-based curriculum for high school students with and without disabilities. It is a 40-hour curriculum that is aligned with Ohio and National Academic Standards and can be integrated into any English, Technology, or Career Classes.
EnvisionIT is being tested in 19 classrooms across Ohio and Michigan and is made possible through funding from the U.S. Department of Education's National Grants program.
What is EnvisionIT?
EnvisionIT is an online course that teaches students Information Technology (IT) skills in the context of planning their transition from high school to employment or college. In each unit, students complete structured activities that help them identify their learning styles, skills, and the occupations best matching their interests and strengths. By the end of the course, each student will:
Create an electronic and print-based Transition Portfolio outlining their plans to compete high school and enter employment or college.
Develop solid information technology skills for the 21st century workplace.
