Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program
The Nisonger Center Early Childhood Education Program is designed to facilitate the development of young children through a fun and exciting play-based classroom program.
Children from one to six years of age, with a variety of developmental delays, participate in either Early Intervention or the Special Needs Preschool program. Children between two and four years of age who are typically developing also participate as peer models.

A team of teachers and therapists work with families to develop individualized family and educational objectives to facilitate each child’s development.
In addition each year undergraduate and graduate students participate in teaching or research activities in the classroom.
There is no cost to families of children who qualify for the developmental program. A monthly fee is required from families of peer models.
For more information about the Early Childhood Education Program, contact Deborah Schenerlein, Program Coordinator, at (614) 292-9605 or Schenerlein.1@osu.edu.
