The Toy & Technology Library houses over 1500 items for loan.  These items, in 10 different categories, include developmentally appropriate toys, easy to access toys, simple communication tools, switches, and switch-activated items.  If you aren’t sure what your child needs, or if we don’t have what you are looking for, please contact us and we can answer your questions.

These toys are chosen for easy access and interest of the very young child and infant.

This category has a wide range of toys to support fine motor skills, ranging from very simple grasping to more complex tasks.

These toys are chosen for their features that can support a wide range of language-based skills.

From simple inset to more complex interlocking, there are many different puzzles to fit various skills and interest levels.

There is a wide selection of switches available for loan. You can choose to try mechanical or electronic switches.

Switch-Activated Toys

The Library has a vast selection of switch-activated toys including bump-&-go, straight line, musical, and remote controlled items.

Toys that have specific textures or sounds that enhance sensory experience

Sensory and Perceptual

Toys in this category have specific sensory features (such as vibration or textures). Also in this category are toys related to perceptual skills, such as shape sorters


The Library has a nice selection of communication devices available, including both direct access and switch accessible options.
