Nisonger faculty, staff, trainees and families enjoy annual staff picnic

Partly to celebrate Staff Recognition Week, but mostly to have fun and socialize with their co-workers, Nisonger faculty, staff, trainees, families and other guests enjoyed the third annual staff picnic on Aug. 19. We shared food and played games in a gentle drizzle at the Goodale Park Shelterhouse in Columbus. Thanks go to the Social Committee, who provided the meal and organized the event, and to all attendees who brought side dishes, desserts, and games or sports equipment.

Bianca McArrell chaired the Social Committee. Other members who helped at the picnic were Shelly Brokaw, Ella Cox, Tamara Hager, Dr. Susan Havercamp, Quinn Montgomery and Jillian Ober. Configuration of the committee has changed in an effort to have representation from every program area in Nisonger. Tamara has “resigned her commission”; Jillian is the new chair; and Bianca will leave the committee on Nov. 30. New members are Matt Grover, Ashley Lefeld and Kim White.

In addition to the staff picnic, the Social Committee organizes holiday parties, tailgate parties, retirement parties and other events, such as bowling and softball outings.
