Education
Dr. Daniel Coury received his MD from the University of Tennessee in 1978. Following his pediatric residency at University of Tennessee, Memphis, Dr. Coury pursued Fellowship training in ambulatory pediatrics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Research
Dr. Coury is active in conducting pediatric psychopharmacology clinical trials. He has authored or co-authored more than sixty peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and regularly reviews for several journals.

Service
In 1990, Dr. Coury established the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University. He continues to serve as chief of the section, in addition to other hospital administrative roles. He is a professor of clinical pediatrics and psychiatry in the College of Medicine and Public Health at The Ohio State University. Additional activities over the past 15 years include federal funded projects in the areas of drug exposed infants, training in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, pediatric residency curriculum guidelines, pediatric psychopharmacology, training professionals in dual diagnosis, and establishment of a Web site for developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
